On January 21st, 2025, the Enkare Oltau Foundation marked a defining moment in our journey toward health equity. We are thrilled to announce the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The Luton Hospital, in a strategic partnership alongside The Bold Phase Initiative.
This collaboration isn’t just a formal agreement; it is a lifeline. At Enkare Oltau, we believe that for a woman to truly thrive in her career, education, and community, her health must be a priority, not a privilege. By joining forces, we are working to ensure that quality, affordable, and reliable healthcare is within reach for every woman, leaving no one behind.

A Second Chance: Health Support for Teen Mothers
A core pillar of this partnership is the direct impact it will have on our Upskilling Program for Teen Mothers in the informal settlements of Mathare and Kibera.
While our foundation provides these young women with essential vocational training and business skills, we recognize that their progress is often hindered by the “health gap.” Many teen mothers in these areas face significant barriers to medical care, from prenatal checkups to specialized maternal health services.
How this partnership enables us to help:
- Integrated Wellness: Beyond just learning a trade, our teen mothers in Mathare and Kibera will now have a pathway to professional medical support.
- Specialized Care: Through The Luton Hospital’s expertise in maternity and gynecology, teen mothers can access safe, dignified, and affordable antenatal and postnatal care.
- Reduced Vulnerability: By removing the financial and logistical burden of healthcare, we empower these young mothers to focus on their skills training, ensuring they can build a sustainable future for themselves and their children.
Strengthening Our Communities
This partnership reflects our deep-rooted commitment to fostering resilient communities. When we provide a teen mother with both a skill and a clean bill of health, we aren’t just helping one person—we are strengthening an entire generation.
Stay tuned as we roll out these health initiatives across our centers. Together, we are building a future where every woman has the tools and the health to succeed.
